What a Week

What a Week

What a couple of weeks.

I did a freelance job at a conference with a Producer friend. She was brought on to the project by a mutual associate who has more technical writing work than she prefers. She hooked me up with at least three different clients she thought would be a match for my services, and a new acquaintance bcc’d me on a flattering referral to one of her clients that she did not personally have the capacity to assist.

This week I’m moderating sessions for ISTE Creative Constructor Lab Virtual, an event I worked live in New Orleans last year.

I’m also emailing like it’s going out of style for a volunteer task force project with the Society for Technical Communication (STC).

It’s day 2 of the Adobe DITAWORLD conference. I’m catching those sessions around other work and professional and personal development classes.

Not that everything has been perfect: during one unmuted client meeting, my 4-year-old proudly announced that he had farted. My office keys keep going missing (may have something to do with the afore-mentioned farter). A weird cat’s been staring at me through the window on the daily.

Overall, can’t complain. 😽
